I bought my nike sneakers way back February 2009. It was a holiday present for myself, being able to get my clothing allowance at that time!
Just like my other pairs before, it went places to places (locally and abroad), until such time I am not able to say if its still usable or I have to ditch it already. I am not a sneaker collector, and I am not a “shoe whore” either. I like to use my pair, until its still stuck on my shoes, or until its heels peel-off. I’m kind of a stick-shoe guy, that is why I only have a limited pair, one for formal, two basketball shoes, and two rubber shoes. My favorite? you guess it! black nike sneakers.
Mind if I say brand names, or collector’s item shoes? well, in my experience, they are guaranteed to last longer than the tiangge shoes or the once from ukay, or the other lesser branded shoes. I used to wear sketchers in college, and hell yeah! It lasted until my first job, one caterpillar shoes, and the other, same as my nikes, rubber shoes.
I miss to wear Chuck Taylor! I have used 2 chucks already, one blue high cut, when I was first year high school, the other, a leather black chucks with a threaded logo, my favorite pair in college. Wearing chucks is comfy and cool! It doesn’t wear-off style. It can be paired with jeans and plain shirt. I love wearing chucks because of its ruggedness.
I am planning to try wearing hiking shoes so that it will last because from my working place right now, it might be more practical to buy one.
